Project: Design and fabricate a robot that can perform a variety of competitive tasks in a Willy Wonka inspired game: Calculated Imagination.
Course: Design and Manufacturing I (2.007) at MIT. This course focuses on the creative design process in conjunction with robust and manufacturable mechanism design, with a heavy emphasis placed on active learning.
Most Critical Module: Egg Collection Mechanism:
For collecting the wooden eggs, I ended up designing a roller intake attached to a winch-activated collection basket. My final iteration included rubber bands in the intake to allow for more flexibility when conforming to the irregularly shaped target objects.

The semester-long design and build project ended in a major competition. My robot, dubbed Violet Beauregarde, finished in the top 8 out of almost 150 competitors!
